It’s that time again! World Book Day 2020! This year it was a Vocabulary Parade – where you could choose a word and appropriate costume… Eleanor chose ‘dauntless’ to describe her favourite Dragon Quest XI character, Veronica. I’ve been so busy with Christmas orders at Dotty Owl but I had to take a little time aside to make a 1970s outfit – required for a Christmas Show!

World War II Costume
I have spent the last couple of days making a World War II costume! I used several different pattern as well as adding some details myself. I’m pleased with the results – I was surprised that I was able to order a pattern, cut and sew a beret in 30 minutes! More pictures and information here.
DANCE COMPETITION COSTUMES – LOVE & MAGNIFICENT
I’ve been busy for the last couple of weeks making dance costumes for the girls… They danced to ‘Love’ by Lana Del Rey and ‘Magnificent’ by Elbow for a local dance competition. They both wanted me to sew them costumes to match the ones worn in the music videos (see below) – luckily they were very pleased with the results – phew!

Spotacular for Children in Need 2016
Happy Friday! The girls have gone to school dressed head to toe in spots for this years BBC Children in Need: Spotacular. They loved it!
